The cemetery has existed as a burial ground since 1803.
Over the years, a number of family members have written about the family history in “Chronicles”.

1868 Chronicles
This was written and compiled by George Taylor Denison II. It describes the creation of the cemetery by his father George Taylor Denison I and grandfather Capt John Denison. And it describes the arrangement with the church.

1952 Chronicles
These volumes were written and compiled by Richard Lonton Denison. This comprehensive set of documents covers the family tree and stories about the early settlers. The formal title is “The Canadian Pioneer Denison Family – A History – Genealogy and Biography”.
1968 Chronicles
This was written by John Hamilton Martin who was the registrar of the cemetery. He kept track of the family tree.
